RE: who has painted a car?
if i wet sand it will it take the color away or dull it out any? because i can pull the car out and wet sand it and make it all smooth again and give it another go. and when it is being "built" how long between each pass?

Ok start in a pattern ie: rt fender. Then go around the car in one direction. the paint may come out blotchy at first. Check and see what tip you are using. A #32 is usually best if you are using a bigger, like a 14tip, the more chance of runs.

well i got the paint from a guy who paints every day. he said this is the stuf i use to paint the car so i was like ok. i cant find anything on the net about this paint to show you or to check to see what kind it is... all i know is that the paint when i open it the clear stuff is on the top and then if i shake it up the paint comes up and looks orange.

After you color sand your color coat, it will look a little blotchy. when you spray the clear it evens that out to an extent. Make sure you have enough color coats on with sufficient coverage!

Usually if you are not pouring the paint on you can make 2 passes before you stop. then wait 5 to 10 min look for imperfections wet sand with 1500 or 2000 grit paper. Runs are not a big deal the can be sanded out. The main thing is take your time!

ok well i just wasnt sure.. i think ill be alright thanks to your last post. "runs can be sanded out" i was always worried that if i got lots of runs then i would have to sand it and then it would look like crap. but i guess since im putting on the clear coat it will make it look shiny again and such.
