p's will give header trouble unless you buy specific headers for the p heads. the C9 and D0 351 heads flow comparable to the gt-40's, but you need hard seats knocked in.

theres a guy in classic section selling a worked over pair with screw-in studs and roller rockers but i dunno how much he wants.

well i have found some off a 69 351and are "dooe" heads and ill have to ask if they have hard seats in it already or not. how hard would it be to change the seats in the heads if they are not hardened.
Thanks

thats machine shop stuff. if you popped an exhaust valve off you'd be able to see if a new seat had been pressed in.... in stock form its just part of the casting so its easy to spot if the work has been done.

seats should cost 10-15 bucks a pop to install. if your getting a valve job and surface it shouldnt be more than 10 bucks each to get em done.

Buy some GT40p's they are just as good and will be less trouble. You already have mac shortie headers, I am almost sure they work with the p's.

A couple of the spark plugs will still give you trouble with those headers, but I picked up a set of gt40p specific headers for around 140 US, so they are not that bad
