351w power output with minor mods?
 

I'll be gettin a 351w out of a 1991 econoline van or somethin like that. If I get this motor, throw an intake, cam and headers what do you think the power would be at? I know it's kinda vague, I'm just curious if the gains for doin the swap and such minor mods would be worth it, or if I should just hold off a yr or 2 and build a 393 or somethin.

hold off till you can do it right.

with good heads, cam, intake and exhaust 475-500 is very doable.

cant just slap some heads and cam on a 351 and expect 500hp

you have to plan and match everything just right.
take some time, money and planning to do right.

yea. Well then I'm thinkin depending on what happens with school for this coming year, I'll dos ome savin, get the motor, probably rebuild it fresh, match everything up, git'r did and see how it does I guess.

still tweaking the tune.
just did a leak down test and I have bad rings or something in one hole too.[&:]

351's are the motors these newer mustangs should have in the first place. forget the smaller modular motors, 351 ftw!

agreed..... i'll tell ya what you could throw a set of stock gt-40's on there with a "little" B-303 cam, a decent intake and exhaust system - you'd have a quick lil bastard that would be very streetable and reliable.
