1993 Mustang LX 5.0 vs. 1979 Camaro Z28
a buddy of mine has a camaro and im not a chevy guy so i dont know much about what year models have this and that, but what i do know about his car is that its either a 79 or 80 (the year before computers were put into them) and its got a 350 that has been run through and had forged pistons and a cam put in it along with exhaust and 4:11 gears... those are the mods hes got, oh and its an automatic by the way(like i said, im not a chevy guy and im goin by what he's told me)... ive got a 93 LX 5.0 with a K&N CAI, Mac LT's and prochamber with Flowmaster mufflers, 3:73 gears, and aPRO 5.0 short throw shifter... im thinkin the extra weight he's carryin around is gonna be to my advantage...we're wantin to take them to a track sometime, but before we do... what do you guys think???

With his motor worked the way it is...and yours pretty much stock...make that launch count
It is your duty as a Mustang Owner to destroy any vehicle sporting that Chevy Logo...especially Camaros

thats still a good bit of weight more though bc fox's are less than 3,000 lbs... ive ridden in his car and im sure you guys know what im talkin about when i say it doesnt "feel" strong, usually you can tell when a car has got some power even if you're just puttin around, but his really doesnt feel like it does... oh well, we'll see soon.... yep LXtasy, i think its pretty kool
and sorry im just now getting back to you guys, ive been gone all weekend to the IHRA Spring Nationals which was awesome by the way, but thanks for the input

no, foxes are NOT less than 3000
my '89 notch 5-speed all manual options was 3250 w/ a 1/4 tank and 150 lb driver
you are however capable of destroying him, thats a 16 second car stock, w/ a few boltons i see a mid 14 tops
i drove my '90 aod gt to 14.40's stcok on street tires, and my '88 notch 5-speed stock on street tires to 14.20's
my '89 notch 5-speed went 13.60's w/ just 4.10's and et streets , make it hook and you'll embarass him
