5 speed cars are actually quicker
if its a streetcar, just hold it too the floor at 6250, and side step the clutch

aparently, sir, you have never seen a powerglide.
5spd cars are a tad quicker if your running a dogged out AOD with stock internals.
throw a shift kit and a stall in there, your more consistant and quicker.

As much as I love my 5spds, I'm with Mattdel... The auto can be built to be faster, although it's much less fun to drive. I personally will gladly give up the extra advantage to drive a 5spd.

I would not go through the aggravation of a swap, finding the pedals is a pain, and for a 500 dollar converter from edge and a shift kit or man valve body the aod will be more consistent and better over all for a 1/4 mile car, but driving a stick on the street is more fun but will cost more money and result in less consistent 1/4 times

yes i know what a power glide is, i broke 2 cases last year
this is where im getting my new powerglide from.
you can order one anyway you want it, with a brake allready installed.
i talked to himin reynolds georgia at the nmra race.
