5.ol conversion

Default 5.ol conversion

i am putting a 5.ol carborated engine in a 91 stang, that was originally a 2.3. do i have to use the tank from the 91? i have a tank from an 85 but it wont read right, is there any way to make it read right ??

repair or replace the fuel tank level sending unit in the old tank.

do you mean use the 85 tank, it worked fine in the other car. why wont it work in this one now?? the 91 tank has the level sender in the middle of the tank and a pump on the right side, while the 85 only has the level sender which is on the right side and much longer than the newer tank. thanks for your help

not sure, the resistance in the later model fuel tank gauge may be different and that's maybe why the gauge isn't working. you could call the Ford tech guys and ask them, number at top of this section.
