brake pads ratteling in caliper?
Every bump I hit i can hear a ratteling noise in the front end, from both sides. So i took the tires off and hit my strut with my hand and it sounds like the brake pads are ratteling and when i put my hand on the caliper it stops..any one know what this is and anyone else have this problem??

RE: brake pads ratteling in caliper?
This is a common problem with lower quality brake pads. They simply do not fit in the caliper as nicely as others and therefore rattle. Another possibility is that the pads are missing the anti-rattle clips that fit onto the ends of the pads. Sometimes, whoever is changing the pads doesn’t realize these clips have to be transferred to the new pads. If your pads are not missing the clips, you might try bending them out a little so that they apply a little more pressure against the calipers. This has worked for some as a temporary fix.
