2 head gaskets, intake gaskets, valve cover gaskets, header gaskets(unless you use red silicone like I do) antifreeze, maybe $50-$70

head gaskets
intake gaskets
hardened push rods (new heads have stiffer springs)
a new tb and egr would be smart since youll need the extra flow.
arp head bolts or studs (studs are better)

I just made my list but it would up being a lot more expensive than that. You'll need:

-Head Gaskets
-Intake manifold gaskets
-Headers gaskest
-Water pump gasket
-Pushrods
-Springs
-Valves
-Intake manifold bolts (if you can't reuse yours)
-Head bolts
-Coolant
-Oil and filter

If you're swapping the cam, add:
-Timing chain
-Timing cover gasket
-Oil pan gasket

You dont need water pump gaskets for a h/c swap. I forgot about the oil and filter though.

I'm an engine retard so bear with with me... I thought that with a head swap one had to adjust the valves after the install to ensure proper clearance? I'm I wrong.... educate me.

Nah, they mean putting new cylinder heads on. Heads are the pieces that sit on top of the block with the valves, rockers, and spring in them.

Austin - you're right.

So... If I bought a set of AFR's all I have to do is pull my stock heads off, replace some gaskets and minors like that and bolt the news on... thats it. No adjustments needed?
