dude did you ever think to turn the heater on to cool the car? sometimes people panic and forget.turning it off as you saw will raise temp up to 50 more degrees. hell if it's running throw in a 180 stat and flush it rad..

basically said f it..... to tell you the truth im not really worried that much... i mean it sucks but im leavin for the marines in alil and ill use my bonus money for it to build another motor. it starts up fine now and i hear a slight tick. But it has always had a slight tick that sounds like an exhaust leak almost but you cant hear it too bad.

i did have it towed.... i only drove it for like a mile or two when it first started heating up. I didnt continuosly drive it either. I would drive it till it got to about 210 then i would let it sit till it got to about 160 which took like 20-30 min lol. Then i would repeat that. When i decided to get it towed was when it went up in temperature rediculously fast... like 80 degrees in 2 seconds.

OK, dumb question time! Why didn't you have it towed instead of continuing to try and drive it? No offence, but that was pretty stupid!

i did that with no luck... i didnt turn the heater off i turned it on
