Default About to buy an SN 95 GT Things to check?

I'm about to buy a 95 GT with 302 for the wife - The car seems to be in good condition - new heater core, new front brakes, new tires. 92K on the clock. The transmission is supposed to have been rebuilt (current owner doesn't have receipts) - it does shift hard at full throttle, and down shifts hard when you hit the OD button. The trans fluid looks clean.

Anything I should be on the look out for?

I'm off to do some searches for suspension upgrades - I have an 05 GT and this thing feels alot more flexible than the 05 does (and the 05 is a vert!)

Thanks.

Already done - came back clean .

One thing I noticed it has a front strut tower brace - is this factory?

I think '95 GTs came from the factory with a strut brace. Check all the basics and you should be in good shape, also check the torque boxes as i've heard they can break. If possible get under it and check for rust and stuff.

I figure subframe connectors are going to be the first thing to install. If the torque boxes are broken, is that something that's fixable?

Thanks.
