My93 5.0had bosch +4 platinums in it when I bought it. I ran them for 15,000 miles and the car ran like a top..I took them out when I started spraying nitrous and replaced them with autolite 24s. The bosch plugs looked exactly the same as they did when I first checked them 15,000 miles ago.I guess not all the experiences are negative..I wouldnt buy them again 7 bucks a plug but they ran fine while I had them.

They may be okay if you're stock or close to it. But they don't do much for you and are way overpriced. You gain nothing for wasting extra money. But if you start to get up there in the mods, they can give you major problems.

The spark would blow out when I had them. it would literally extinguish and cause the cylinder not to fire. Nothing a set of autolites couldn't solve (and for a lot less money too.)

I have the 2's and havent had problems with them- could feel the power more then the last ones-smoother idle and quicker response, but i wont run them again- since the price is too high, i probably should check the plugs too-havent ince i installed them

Not to steal this thread, but does anyone know if the NGK V-power (or whatever they're called) spark plugs are copper core or not?

i am pretty sure they are.. the only difference between them and regular ngk's is the little v-groove in the grounding electrode.

I ran Bosch platinums once on a stock vehicle. Long story short, one came completely apart after about a week. I contacted Bosch in New Jersey, sent them the plug. Herr Scheizer from Bosch stated that they could not honor their replacement guarantee for some obscure reasonand sent the plug back. From that point on I have run only Motorcrafts or Autolites and have not had any problems in close to 20 years.
