Default 351w install questions

If I scored a 351w engine how hard would it be to drop it into my current stang? Are all the electronics and stuff going to hook right up? what about my guages and transmission?

thanks.

Default RE: 351w install questions

Tranny bolts up fine. I'm not sure about the gauges. I'd assume if you stay EFI then they will all work. I'm carbed and use mostly aftermarket mechanical gauges.

Rest of the swap is fairly simple. Get lower motor mounts or get a bigger hood as the stock mounts let the engine sit up too high and the hood isn't going to close. My headers are a tight fit. Passenger side sits about 1/8" away from the inner fenders.

I probably left something out but it's 5:30am here and I'm still half way asleep.
