yea i read it. Dont really understand it. Are you saying that as long as i dont run a cam over .540 lift then i will be fine w/o notching the pistons?

idk, i'm buyin em used from a guy that buys and sells mustang parts...he's giving me 1.6 roller rockers with them for 700 bucks so it seems like a pretty good deal.

yeah that is a good price if they are in good shape. i bought mine new 1100 new.but if u are going to run a bigger cam than.540 i would definetely find out what springs u have or just replace them since they are new then u can run a bigger cam

yea they will they come stock wit springs that hold up to .600 lift. i would check ptv nooone can tell u what ur car will do. on a normal 5.0 u should be able to get away wit it. but i would check.

Your pistons would be fine, but stock TW valve springs won't hold up to .540+ lift

The .540" for TW heads and .600" for TH heads, is a valve springs limitation spec, not a PtV spec.....otherwise they wouldn't include.......
...in their Tech Specs sheet.
BTW, total valve lift is not a factor for possible PtV problems...the valves can only collide with the piston during the exh-to-intake changeover cycle (overlap), and both valves (intake and exhaust) could be open from .016" to .1xx" depending on the cam profile. You could have a .600" lift cam that would not have problems, and a .440" lift cam that would bend some valves.
NOTE:
• Maximum camshaft lift with factory flat top pistons:
Twisted Wedge: .540" lift; Track Heat: .600" lift
• Check piston to valve clearance before installation
• Stock stamped Ford rocker arms are not recommended
