I just bought a 95 gt and when i first start it it runs good but then the idle goes up and down about 500rpms or less. my friend had the problem on his 89 gt and sold it unfixed but i heard its a common stang problem, i was wondering if anyone knew what it was? the car is stock besides an airintake.also, who sells the cheapest sending unit? thanks, one more thing the drivers seat is power and it stoped working, and frozeall the way forward and i cant fit in it to drive it, is that a common problem? and whats the best fix for it/? thanks again guys!

if its idling wierd i would start with the idle air control valve (IAC)

Another VERY common problem is with a dirty MAF sensor. Pop it out and clean it with some MAF sensor cleaner and that should help. Either way, it can't hurt. Just be careful not to damage the wires.

thanks guys i will clean the maf tonight and go from there, any idea on the seat or sending unit? i will take the seat out tonight and jump some wires and see what it does

ok cool, thaks guys, one more thing, the car didnt come with a manual or a fuse panel cover to tell me what fuses are what, is that something i can find out online or should i just buy a chiltons. thanks

thanks guys, i checked all the fuses and pulled the seat and jumped the motor and both were fine.so i will check the rest of the power wires. i also cleaned the maf and the throttle body but it still idles roughly till its warm, its more like a 200rpm change now as aposed to the 500rpm change. i am going to geta iac and go from there. thanks for all the info guys!
