Default How bad are the stock intakes?

How bad are the stock intakes? I had to replace my edelbrock performer RPM intake for a stock intake. I also had a 70mm TB and a 75mm Maf and 30 lb injectors. Those are all stock things now. I have a 306 with TF TW heads and an Anderson B-41 cam. How mismatched will it be with the stock intake?

Very mismatched. You are choking those TW heads. The RPM intake will be well worth the money in power gained for what you already have.

But... you cam will always suck.

Yeah, bunch of my stuff got stolen and I dont have enough money to replace it at the moment. Stock stuff was free, and I just need it to drive right now. Whats wrong with the cam? When I upgrade back to a better intake, I was thinking a TF Track Heat. Would I be better off with the Performer RPM or the Track Heat?

Yeah, I figured as much, I was just wondering how bad it would actually be.

think about is you have what 2.02 heads and and a fairly radical cam, and you have the stock t/b 60mm with small stock intake runners with 19's that are maxed...this is why I SAID to stay out of it with no high rpm blasts...then work to get new parts ..used parts can be your friend
