H/C/I swap not fast
Ive just done my h/c/i swap and to be honest it doesnt fell that much faster
its actually weaker down low maybe a lil quicker in higher rpm not much
75mm tb
gt40p heads ported
tfs stage 2 cam 499 510
shorty headers
edelbrock intake
36 pounders with calibrated maff 90mm
255 pump kirban fuel reg adjusted to 40psi
stock 273 gear stock 4 cat exhaust im outa $$$$ ima get this done soon
it would burn a wheel for days and had good power before the swap
do i need a tune or is the 90mm and 75 mmtb just killing me??
i know its to big now but ima put twinturbos on it in about a month i was just trying to get the motor done first
any suggestions???thanks Nick

RE: H/C/I swap not fast
alot of that stuff is way too big for your application, you could be running 19s on that set up with a 73-76mm MAF, 36 and 90 is entirely way too big and the TB would be much better as 65 or 70mm, you would be much better off with 19s or 24s and a 75 mm MAF,,,,BUT if you plan on going to twin turbos then you are going to need those big injectors and mass air flow so I don't know what to tell you...you are really choking that H/C/1 swap with that damn 4 cat exhaust, you should take care of that and get working on your turbo and leave your current MAF and 36s if you plan to turbo, if not you will def need to downsize, goodluck and make sure you get a good tune when its all said and done

You are correct.
And all you really need is a 70mm T/B and 73mm MAF with some 28 lbs injectors and a tune.

.499/.510 would be a Stage 1

man injectors are way to big for that app. get ya some 24#ers and a mass air to match em. a 70mm t body and definatly a gear!!!!!!! i know where theres a frpp 355 for sale and if you hadof been about 2 weeks earlier i had a good set of low mileage frpp 24# injectors and a brand new bbk tbody nover been used, but i sold it all cuz i needed bigger stuff. but im me if youre interested in that gear.

I really wouldn't worry about the power tune or changing any parts on it if you are going to be adding some turbos to it... When you get everything put on then you can go get your tune andhave everything squared away.
