Trans Problem

Trans Problem
The other day, I broke the output shaft in my T5. I picked up another trans. Supposedly just rebuilt with hardened crap in it, and 0 miles. Anyway, my problem is that I stuck the trans in, it went together no problem, just like it should have. I put everything back together, started the car, and it squealed very loud, so I shut it off. It honestly made like 4 revolutions. Then it won't go into gear, I can't move the shifter, it's just stuck. So I take it all back apart, and I cannot for the life of me get the trans out of the car. It's somehow stuck on the clutch disk. I can move the trans about an inch, but thats it. I have pried on it, I even wrapped a rachet strap around the axle and tried to pull it out that way. This is truely unbelieveable. Has anything seen anything like this? WTF is going on, and how the hell can I get this trans out of the car?

RE: Trans Problem
I wonder if the pilot bearing is stuck on the input shaft and you can't get it past the clutch disk. I would try and take the bell housing off with the tranny. See if you can get it off that way. You would haveto reach in and take out the pressure plate bolts that way. Might be a real b!tch.....
