Spyder gears are fine, but only up to a certain amount of hp/torq buddy did that and was pushing 300hp and snaped it withen a week.

sounds to me like youre gonna break it any way you go unless you put an 8.8 in it. no offense but you do really need it and wouldnt hurt to have a beefed up 8.8 like 31 spline axles and a locker, but a least go to the junkyard and get ya a good used 8.8. as for youre original question bout the spool for the 8.8 in a 7.5 i dont think itll work. may have some leads on a used 8.8 if youre interested let me know

Youre askin for trouble with a 7.5 and a 351. Save yourself the grief, time, and labor of having to pull the busted 7.5 out for the 8.8. Our stuff tends to break at the worst possible time.

I agree. that thing was barely made for the 4cyl. Your asking for trouble. Breaking a rear end at 60 or 70 mph can have a pretty bad affect on you. Dont sacrifice your life for a cheap way out.
