4 cyl tranny?
Which clutch and pressure plate kit do I have to get for 4 cylinder tranny w/ v8 bellhousing? What kind of fuild does it use? Gear oil or ATF? The tranny is out of a 88 4 cylinder. It had gear oil in it when I pulled it out of the car at the junkyard. Is it regular T5? ID number on the tranny is 1352 066

RE: 4 cyl tranny?
The only differences between a v-8 T-5 and a 2.3L T-5 is the input shaft and the first 3 gears. Everthing else is the same. So all the V-8 stuff like the pressure plate, clutch disc, T/O bearing are identical. But you will have to get acustom size pilot bushing made out of bronze. The tip of the input shaft is a smaller diameter than the V-8.

O yeah almost forgot, only use synchromesh fluid in T-5's. They sell it at GM dealers. I just noticed you said it had gearoil in it. The synchros are probably toast. Theyre not meant to cut through that thick of a fluid.
