how hard is is to put in 87-93 rear quarter glass in a 79-86 car? what is needed besides the glass? do you have to cut and mod the body? or just out with the old in with the new.

shouldnt be nothing to it. if im correct yours has that covering on it. i know a buddy of mine put in newer windows on his old 85 not a problem

I had to replace my quater windows for my 89' lx hatch, it was one of the biggest B*tchs to replace, Remove all the plastic trim inside the car, the once you have it remove then take bolts off theres like 10 holding the window in, the put sealent around the edges and the repeat process to put all the stuff back together, I was one of the hardest things to do, also the rear quater windows are plastic, just to lets you know, there not glass.

Plastic? What? I've loked at one out of an 89 and it was NOT plastic.

believe me they are plastic, its very hard to tell. But they are plastic

I found mine at a junk yard for 30 bucks they were in great conditon

Yeah! I just bought some on eBay for $40 each...good condition too. Can't wait to put them in. My girlfriend bought them for me for Xmas. I already have my interior panels out to paint them, So now all I have to do is unbolt my louver ones and scrape what needs scraping, and then get some of that sealer from the body shop...freebie....and put them in.
