Default Alternator problems?

K well i noticed if my car is idling the lights inside and headlights are all dim, but the second i touch the throttle even a bit they perk right back up. Is this normal? In my 2.3L i never had a problem with this. The battery is only a few months old and has never died or anything.

If you still have stock pulleys and the battery is new then yes your alternator is most likely the problem

I just bought the car, and as far as i know everything is stock, and anything replaced was replaced with stock stuff. Im pretty sure i didnt see a reciept for an alternator in the stack of reciepts, so that should be the original one.

Car most likely has underdrive pullies. If you are still running the stock alternator I would highly suggest upgrading to the 130a alternator like everyone on this site is doing these days. With that stock 75a alternator and pullies you are lucky to see 25 amps at idle...not a good thing at all.

Look at the crank pulley, if it's about the same size or smalleras the harmonic balancer they are uderdrives.
