installing mas in 88gt
here's my question, i'm thinking about buying a 90 motor with all the maf setup on the motor. what will i need to do to make this car work with my 88 speed density stuff. will this hook right up to my wiring harness or anything else. please tell me what i need to do. i just want to know what i need before i get started because i'm tired of running into road blocks with this car. thanks a ton.

ummm..... yeah, pretty sure... i never had to do it myself... but when i hear people doing it they gotta get a new harnes/computer and the whole works......... glad my 88 is a cali car

all you need is the mass air meter the plug, 4 wires and the mass air computer you dont have to hack into your harness or change its not that hard to do heres a link step by step

you need the MAF, MAF computer, MAF plug, and some wires with the ford computer plugs on the ends i got mine here. www.ronmorrisracing.com
There is some wires that go to the fuel pump and some that go to the speedo. youll need these wires to make the computer not display DTC's. I would get a kit its so much easier.

I don't think that the putting the masa air flow harness into a non mass air harness is rigging if done right and profressionally. Not saying you should have it done profressionally but, you know...
The kit is converting the existing harness to mass air.
What I don't understand is the VSS and fuel pump monitoring circuit. Now couldn't you just feed the fuel pump monitoring circuit wire to system voltage when the key is on? And how would you give the computer a VSS signal when my car doesn't have one?
