i topped my tank off drove 93 miles freeway mostly and topped it off again with 3.25 gallons=26mpg. thats craziness. i mean it runs good but i didnt know this was possible. its a 5speed. anyone else get this kinda milage in a 5.0? i think though its really bad for city driving like 15mpg! but havent calculated it this way yet

That's not too far off from what I get on highway. It's impressive. My grandfather has a 6 cyl Taurus that gets worse than that on the freeway.

I wish I got 26mpg. I get like 9 city and 12 highway, and I still have stock injectors...My motor is basically stock as well. I can watch my gas guage move. I have 3.73s and my speedo is off, which in turn throws my mileage off, and even with the mileage being higher than what it usually is, I cant get more than "200" incorrect miles from a full tank, and in fact its actually lower than that [:@]

i was dumbfounded when i filled up and did the math! my 4 banger doesnt get that as far as i know, but never really counted it on the 4, just geussing

Driving back to Vegas from Fab Fords Forever car show in Buena Park, CA in '02 I managed 235 miles to a tick under half tank. Talk about amazing mileage! Ill see if I can find the pic I took.
