Default heads

i keep hearing thr heads off the 5.0 exploerers give much better power then the gt40s..is this tru

Hmm...nope. Mainly because the heads on 302 Explorers are gt40s.

96-97.5 exploders had GT-40 heads
97.5-2000 exploders had GT-40P heads

The Explorers came with gt40s until halfway through '97, when they switched over to gt40p's. Both have their benefits and downsides, but either will be a nice improvement over stock E7 (assuming you have a 93, as per your name) heads

Edit: an Exploder intake will also be an improvement
