Default What intake is this?

I'm looking at buying a '92 LX and this is a pic from under the hood. I think the intake is a cobra piece but I'm not sure.

Yes indeed, its essentially a Cobra, but a little differnt, i personally like them better, i think they might flow better- probably not thought,

Yeah, its a GT40 intake. Those are supposed to be a VERY good intake. I think its MM&FF magazine that did a test of that intake against other popular intakes, and the gt40 flows very very well..

Thanks. The guy is asking a little more than my budget allows for butI'm willing to sacrifice some other things because I want this stang real bad.

The gt40 intake isn't anything special, it just flows a bit better than a stock (on a Mustang, that is) intake. Decent, but nothing incredible.
Car looks nice, real clean. What's with the heat wrap shielding the coil and solenoid, though? Can't be getting that hot under there...

GT40 intakes are pretty decent street intakes, and definately look nice(I think so anyway). I think it's the best performing EFI intake that Ford made iirc. Bah...just buy a GT40 lower and slap a Kenne Bell on it
