why would you use a spare. have you ever actually picked up one of those? they're heavier than a stocker and by a good amount. you'd just end up with more rolling resistance and more unsprung weight

dont forget about gas runing with a 1/4 tank is a fair amount anything after that and its unecessary.

I think he was refering to the optional aluminum spares. They almost look like legit drag wheels and are pretty light. Like stated above just make sure to put real tires on them.

Door panels, carpet dash board, sun visors, cutting out the area the spare tire goes in a replacing with a flat peice of aluminum, back seat, fiberglass hood, and plexi glass rear window. Just a couple idea's off the top of my head. Not all are very effective, but a pound is a pound.
