Default steering?????

i was wondering if there is a way to tighten up a fox body's steering rack so that when i hit an uneven part of the road my wheels dont turn as much, i know it will result in harder to turn by it is pretty loose now and i just want it to not react as much to bumps or potholes.

i could not only be your rack it could also be tie rod's or even worn ball joints and if it is the rack about the only way to fix it is replacment

sounds like your whole front end needs to be gone over and worn parts replaced like ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, struts, etc. then get it aligned too. something is wrong if it steers itself off course over bumps.
