Transmission Question
Hey,
I have an 87 GT with about 400hp. as of now I have the stock 5 speed tranny and rear end. Im looking to put 373 in. Last time I drove it, the tranny seemd hard to put in second. However I did put a new clutch and cable with clutch cable adjuster in the firewall. The tranny has about 116,000 miles on it. Im sure its on its way out the door. Im not sure if the cable just needs to be adjusted or if I should get a new tranny or have this one rebuild.
I was planning on putting in a supercharger but if I have to put a new tranny in there goes that money..lol
any ideas.

RE: Transmission Question
If the transmission goes into 1st and reverse fine then your clutch is adjusted correctly. Trouble going into second is usually going to be a syncronizer or slider problem.CallAstro Performance and get their Super T5 gear set and a what ever else you need and you will be good to go with just about what ever you throw at it.
