on one websiteit says youll gain 50 hp with the PAXTON NOVI 1000 . on another website it says youll gain 120 -160 hp with a basic kit running 6-8 lbs of boost with no cooler. whats the average gain with a stock engine?

it depends on you psi rating... i have hurried if u want a ruff estimate that for every psi u can pretty easily pull off 15hp... do 8x15= 120hp... 6psi would be ruffly 90hp.... if that helps ne... it realy all depends on you setup tho... and then you psi... if u have a stock engine i can see u gettin 300rwhp off a basic kit at 8 psi

I would say 15 is on the high side. Realistically more like 10-12. After my procharger install, completely stock motor on 9 psi it dynoed @ 303 @ the wheels.

any problems when you had that on a stock motor? i been thinking of getting a vortech 5psi with my next commission check but been debating whether i should do some heads first. i'd prefer to not tear into the engine until i'm ready for an overhaul, so thought the supercharger would be a good thing.

Not so far. Added more external bolt ons to get where it is now and still no issues. 155K too. Still stock block, heads and cam.
