I have been hearing this for almost 20 years, the only item the GT has that the LX dosent have is the driving light bar and lights. It dosent even way 20 lbs and the side skirts are so light that if left in your drive way the wind will blow them away! ThisBS that has been stiring since 87, if the LX is lighter its buy no more then 50-75 pounds and thats cause of the GT seats are a little beefier.

If the LX is faster it has noting to do with it being a LX or GT !

An LX notch isa decent amount lighter than a GT, There is not that much diff in hatchback form.

the LX looks better!!!
...the LX is lighter than a GT ....no matter by how much .....it has to be FASTER by some minute amount ....its still faster

Here you go here is another heavy hitter 89 GT Convertible. Gt definately looks better than the LX model. That's why you LX guys have such a nice assortment of bodykits just trying to make it look like a GT
