ohh i meant when i was on the highway it either blew first or somehow some how the driveshaft didit but the shifter was bent and ford said it was beyond rebuildability

^^Sucks...

I have a FRPP aluminum drive shaft...love it. I also just got a summit brand loop($27)...PITA to put on, but a nice piece.

yah this happened to a guy kinda local to me, about 8 years ago. freshly restored 57 chevy, all new motor, tranny, rear end, fresh body work, just an all around gorgeous car. only thing he neglected was the ujoints.
the front ujoint grenaded and the driveshaft went into the road, and before you could say ****, his rear end went flyin out the back. pretty fun to watch that $hit.

50...55....60...70....BOOM!

"holy ****" was heard around the block

Wasn't just cause it was summit, but I have the 3.5" drive shaft, plus 2.5" X pipe...things got tight. Overall, it fit really well.
