Why the hell are you taking it out of adjustment??? You are taking hundreds of miles of life off of your tranny every time that you drive it,and your cable is now out of adjustment. You need to set it with a throttle valve line pressure guage. To get it somewhat close to what it is supposed to be at set it so that there is no slack nor any tension.

all downshifts are harsh, unless you like perfectly match the RPMs, just let the clutch out slowly when you downshift

what the hell are you talking about? there is no clutch on an aod.

tot he orriginal poster, you cant use the tv cable to make the tranny perform the way you want to. thats how you ruin it. people pay good money for parts that make their tranny shifter firmer, why would you want a p*ssy shift?

the transmission was rebuilt and the cable was adjusted to be in a safe zone that made it shift really fast around 1400 rpm
