that is true, to an extent.
but a dyno-tune isn't just so you can see what your making.
more-so, if you care about your engine's longevity, a dyno tune is the best route, other than just letting the computer make the decisions. Making sure that everything is running perfect throughout the entire RPM range is the only way to somewhat guarantee that something drastic won't go wrong.

You know, I would love to dyno that badboy...but I kind of agree with my buddy,
"A dyno is always going to be lower than your expectations"
...it is nice to live withthe fantasy of 300+

There is only one Dyno on the South Central Coast of California...and he is booked fora month!
I am going to try to get it in there though...after a month it should be nice and broken in

good idea. 1 tune session is better than nothing. just don't rip on it TOO hard until then.
i've seen people build 350~ whp cars, EFI, without a proper tune, and take it to the track after a few hundred miles of babying it, and after 2 or 3 runs they blow the bottom end because the car ran lean, and they never knew it.

+ 1 on the teal, na nvm who gives a ****, you finished your H/C/I and thats all that counts, looks gorgeous, don't be depressed by dyno sheets, they often give you motivation to go even further into modding your stang

I was actually very happy with my first dyno session. i wasnt expecting more than 230rwhp. I ended up with 253, and the dyno operator said that I was running too lean. So I popped on a fuel pressure regulator, and went back.. 264hp... I gained 11hp just by adding the right amount of fuel... while still on my stock tune!

To the original poster, looks very good. I just bough my GT-40 heads last night, so once they come in, off to the machine shop they will go, for porting and polishing, along with a valvetrain rebuild, oh the Cobra intake will also get polished.
