Default Piston ring question

If my cylinders have the wear and tear of 150k miles and are i'm pretty sure are ovaled. Can I still put a new set of piston rings on to fix my bad ring problem or will it not do anything because of the ovaled cylinders. I dont have the money to bore my cylinders out right now either.

Default RE: Piston ring question

your best bet would be to drop your block off at a machine shop and have them check the bores.. if they say all is good, have them hone the cylinders, and slap a new set of rings in... they will let you know the best course of action
