Yea, very true. I agree with adder on this one, while 4.10s are higher are good for the track, they're absolutly retarded for street driving. My point is, make sure you know what a person want's before you start recommending gear ratios. That aggrivates the hell out of me when people do that. Same thing happened to a guy in the sixer forum. He was running low 15s/high 14s in his mostly stock sixer with 3.73s, but because of the 4.10 hype he switched, and he couldn't break a mid 15 for squat and his regular driving went down the drain. His solution, he was mad, grant that, so he went with a 94-98 stock 8.8" rear with 3.55s, and he's doing quite fine again.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my question! As I previously said, I AM NOT looking for 600RWHP, just around 3-400. My car does have the automatic tranny, so I will not have to do any clutch/flywheel swaps. In the 350Z world, many NA cars and even a lot of supercharged cars would take either the 3.3 rear end(auto) or the 3.5(manual) rear ends out and go to the 3.9's. Since I had the auto, I went from the 3.5 to the 3.5 and saw a lot more wheel spin, but a lot better acceleration! I am thinking with the automatic tranny, I would want to step up to 3.73 or 4.10s. I seem to remember that the '95 has around 215HP at the crank. Is this correct? What are the TQ numbers? What does it dyno to the wheels(HP & TQ)?

I also saw a stroker kit for this car which was around $1300 (a lot better than the $7900 for the 350Z).

Thanks again to those who answered.

Ok here are some answers for you.

Stock 94-95s have 215bhp and 285 tq which equates to around 185 rwhp, and 240 rwtq. Autos will dyno a little lower than that.

Go to www.haneymotorsports.com, they have excellent prices on already stroked engine blocks. In other words, but the block, swap over the stuff, and sell or trade your old one.

To get around 300 rwhp you have several options, first things first though. You need to get 24, or even better, 30, or 36lb fuel injectors (depends on what you do), an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and a 155lb hr, and or 190lb hr (depends on what you do and how high you go) to meet your engines fuel needs.

Then there are several ways to get there. You could just take the easy route and get a supercharger, or you could get a 331, or 347 stroker engine block, and do a h/c/i swap. This will put you nicely into the 300 rwhp range. Now as far as to exactly what setup to do, everything is game, it all depends on what you want out of your engine.

I chose the 347 stroker engine block
E-303 cam
Ported GT-40 Heads
Ported 94 Cobra Upper/Lower Intake
route, but you may want different. Other than the stroker, none of the other parts are on yet, so I can't tell you how it went, but I will be able to shortly, my GT-40s are in the mail, and my Cobra manifold is in my room.
