Default Gas mileage

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help my out with my gas mileage. I get around 200km per tank which is pretty bad when some of you are saying you get 300 miles per tank. I drive city and normally shift at 2000-3000 rpm. So what can you guys recommend to me so that my car will get better gas mileage? My car is completly stock so I dunno whats up. Thanks

I only get 13 when I drive city only, thats with 3.73s, and I have done plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, correct tstat and all. No codes either, I know what you mean with the mileage. But I bought the car knowing the mileage would be horrible. Still love her. I know this does not help but that just seems to be the way it is for some of us 5.0 owners, either you mileage is quite decent, or it just sucks.

what is the operating temp of your car, 160, 180, or 195. I had a problem with my brand new tstat not working and I changed it, (thanks adder) to a 195 and it helped my mileage go from 10 to 13 mpg. not sure what my highway mileage is yet, time for a road trip.

i have almost the same mods and get a little more... uneual shorty headers, o/r h-pipe, flows, CAI, took off the AC, a higher flowing radiator, and a electric fan. and i'm about to take off that smog pump

u/d pullies can help but i chose not to do it since i need the alt charge for my elec fan.

these things have pretty small tanks, i was on 1/8th of a tank and i filled it up and only put in about 12 gallons and it was full, so im gonna guess 13-15 gallons per tank
