I know that in those rare Grand Am's they used that Synchro mesh fluid so that it can actually shift, but will it actually improve the shift quality in a T-5, or any other manual for that matter?

No, there's to plugs on the passenger side of the tranny. One's to fill it up, the other is to drain it. Take out the drain plug, then the fill plug. Once it's all drained, put the drain plug back in, and then fill it up using the fill hole. You'll probably have to use a hose or pump to get it in there.

Mostly the reason for adding the GM Synchromesh, is for the friction modifier. Not sure about other manuals, but T-5's seem to take to it nicely.

Get one of those bendy straws, get a mouthful of fluid and blow it in. Duh! [&:]

J/K On a serious note, you can buy a siphon pump at most auto parts stores which siphons the fluid out of the container and pumps it into the tranny via a long hose. They don't cost much.
