Default autometer gauge guestions

alright as u all know the air fuel is digital. i wired up my other guages to the dimmer but im not sure how you work this haha. since there is no light cable on the air fuel should i just wire the 12 volt to it? i kno the gauge would only work when i have my lights on but i could always just use the first setting on the lights switch. has anyone done this or did u just say screw it and not worry about the dimmer?

On most gauges there are 2 different wires used for power and lights. Dont put them together unless you want them both on at the same time. I would never use the dimmer switch for anything.

Not all gauges can handle variable volts to the light source. Seeing that Autometers only use a bulp sepperately wired, it will prolly' work fine. If you dont have a white wire on the air/fuel gauge. It doesnt have a back light. Only the LEDs light up. And it must use a 12v power source.
