Default Advice on a clutch

Whats up guys, -1995 Mustang GT
So I was out practicing pulls earlier tonight and after the first run the car was having trouble coming out of reverse (5spd). Then it didn't really want to go into first...I don't think it's ever had the clutch replaced, so thats my first guess. I want to have it replaced, but I dont know which one would be good for the car. I race it alot, but its also a daily driven car. I've never had to look into this stuff so I was hoping you guys could would have some advice. Also, does anyone know if and/or where the clutch fluid resevoir is? I can't find it...leave some good advice for me. Thanks

-Matt

You cant find it because its a cable but depending on your power level and how hard of a peddle you want theres a king cobra, motorsport heavy duty, or a spec 2 or 3 for starters. But as far as racing it alot or "spirited " driving its fun to do but you ll learn quick with a daily driver it gets expensive....fast , but if you dont have 2 rely on it everyday to get to work ....drive it like you hate it

Default RE: Advice on a clutch

dime's right the is NO fluid for aCABLE driven clutch assembely...

Specs are nice clutches from what i hear, but no personal experience with them

i have a LMC (light metalic clutch) from center force and i abuse my clutch more than anyone i know and after 15000 miles the clutch dics looks NEW it still has the cross hatch marks that usualy wear off in 1,000 miles or so... and i raced my car daily and it was my DD i never had a prolem with anything involving my clutch since the install.... i highly suggest looking into it..

how ever if you go with a performance clutch do yourself a favor and get a 3 piece adjustable cable kit, comes with a new quadrent (thing cable hooks to under the dash) new cable and a firewall adjuster

edit: stay way from the king cobra clutchs... i killed one in 3000 miles and i was never as hard on it or as often as i am with the centerforce
