im looking for a set of 3 inch tailpipes that come in the flowmaster 3 inch system? does anyone know if they sell just the tailpipes or what?

i dont think that they sell the tailpipes by themselves, but on the otherhand i have a set of 3" outta the 3" flowmaster kit id be willing to part with they were for my 89 GT

I'm pretty sure Summit has the tailpipes...I know they had the 2.5" aluminized pipes when I was looking. How much HP are you pushing? That's a lot of pipe for anything under 400 hp.

just some bolt ons you think just the 3 inch tails would be overkill? i just hate the 2.5's

ive been looking for a flowmaster 3"+ tips for a while now.. they only sell em in the complete kits.

im just going to cut my aluminum 2.5"s off and weld on 3.5" chrome tips

im doin it for the look.. a tip isnt going to affect horsepower to a signficant or noticable amount.. maybe the sound a little bit

If you're just talking about the tips, it will be fine...some come w/ 3.5" tips. If you're talking about the piping for your exhaust, then yes, it is way too large. You'll lose a tremendous amount of exhaust velocity (low-end tq).
