Flex-A-Lite VSC or 75 Amp Relay???
Should I buy the VSC controller that flex-a-lite sells for $95.00 or just use a 75 amp relay & a on/off switch on my DD stang??? I have a Taurus fan that I need to install in a couple of days. I would like to get a DCC Controller but can't wait 3-4 weeks for it. LMK what you think.

Best controller out there. I use it with a Taurus fan, 180 t-stat, and aluminum radiator. Help keep the strain off of the charging system. I used a typical on/off controller from FAL and every time my fan came on my lights would dim a bit initially and my idle would drop almost to stalling the car at night with lights and what not on. I have a 130 amp alt on the car as well. I replaced the FAL controller with the FK35 from DCC, I don't even notice when the fan comes on anymore. Plus I like the 30 sec. it lets the fan run for after the ignition is off. I believe it's packaged better then the FAL stuff too. Only drawback is they are made to order and it takes about two weeks to get it in your hands.
The taurus fan pulls 60 amps, a 70 amp relay would be needed if you went that route.Bosch unitscan be found on Ebay, I bought two of them off Ebay with no problems.

Yup,been debating the same thing.I read up on some other forums and some guys said they have had some customer service issues with DCC lately..so that kinda led me from that option.A simple on/off switch is easy except for when you forget to turn it on.

im running a 30amp for the low speed on my taurus fan and a 40amp for the high speed w/ inline fuses and it works excellant no problems at all.... ive got it set up on two relays and 2 switchs so when im at the track i can runthe fan when car is off in between runs.... and if your like me and watch your gauges carefully you will notice if the fan is not on... this is the second car ive had a switch setup on the fan and ive never forgotten to turn it on....

I agree about the FAL stuff but it does the same as the DCC Controller. It stays on 30 sec afer the engine shuts off too. I think that the DCC Controller is better quality than the FAL.

Switches work but I have a street car and I don't want to be bothered with watching my gauges to decide to turn my fan on and I like to have it come on with the AC. Don't get me wrong I check my gauges, but it's one less thing to pay attention to while driving and avoiding minivans.

Yeah the FAL controller is about $10.00 cheaper & you don't have to wait a month to get it. Mine is also a street car & I'm always checking my gauges. I'm thinking of just running a Bosch 75 amp relay with a 40 amp in line maxi fuse to an on/off switch for now. Don't forget to get a 3G alternator too.
