Motor build up
Ok so my motor is out of my car and down to the bare block my question is what should i build?
forged 302 306 or 331? i plan on putting a 150 to 200 shot on it
i have a set of edelbrock preformers with 1.94 intake and 1.60 exaust sitting around and plan on using them
everything else is up for suggestions
tell me what you think

if your gonna hit it with all that juice , id do a forged kit and have it balanced.
for the cost, might as well do a 331 swap, if just 100 shot.

RE: Motor build up
What's your HP goal? Pick a power goal and build accordingly. Is your budget unlimited? More then likely it's not so decide what you want to spend and be realistic.
My goal when I tore mine down was 400-450 hp. I replaced the pistons with forged units and kept the stock forged rods and stock crank. I had the rods machined to accept 1/2" studs instead of the 7/16" bolts they come with. With the H/C/I I'm using I'm ~ 350 CHP and my bottom end could easily withstand a 100 shot.

RE: Motor build up
my car lost oil pressure and all the bearrings went bad so the crank was junk thats why it got pulled and stripped down the the bare block..
i dont really have a hp goal my goal is to pull a 12 or faster and im at a mile high in colorado so remember shave a second on your predictions because of how high i am
