You might want to look into a trans and torque converter if it's auto or clutch if std.

doesn't anyone read the original post anymore? he said he has an AOD with shift kit.

i'd say spend that money on suspension. you don't need HP to go fast.

Actually, you can get a good set of heads that will give you a 100HP increase over stock heads.

You can take a completely stock 302 engine and then add AFR165 heads, Tri-Y headers, and 1.7RRs. With that combo, you can make 400bhp. That's with a stock camshaft.

BTW, I'm not saying you should do that combo. just saying that you can get 400HP with that combo.

how much better is afrs then like gt40x? i mean i found a deal 450$ for complete gt40x aluminum heads but if those are work it that much then i could do the afrs if i can find some cheap. i forgot to add i have to put 200$ away for a paint job..

what kind of suspension work are you talking? sub frame connectors? control arms? let me know i thought about that stuff

supercharger would only work if i was efi. im going carb.

btw.. i might be swappin over for a t5. never really drove a manual though.

AFR's kill any of the GT40 series heads.

As far as the blower goes, that's not true. You can get superchargers and even turbochargers for carbed setups. Not as uncommon as you think.
