Default Need some expertise...head gasket?

My car has always smelled like burning fuel, especially at idle, mainly because I have no cats and dumped flows. But now when i give it gas a bluish/white smoke comes out. I'm hoping that it's air-fuel-ratio is whacked but i'm scared it's a blown head gasket. I'm not losing oil or coolant, I'm confused? Any comments, advice please! School get's out in a week and i need to drive it home100 miles!!!!

If it's bluish then you're burning oil. if it's white and not blue, then you're either burning coolant or you have a methanol injection kit

You spark plug will show if you ar burning oil. Would be suprised if it is coolant. You would notice a performance loss, plus would probably have water in your oil.

I haven't noticed any performance loss, but something is ****ed up. I am goin to pull the codes, could it maybe be the O2 sensors, or am i definately burning either oil or coolant.

No, a blown head gasket would cause you to burn coolant. Blowing white smoke is the number one indicator, as well as power loss, watery oil, loss of coolant, or oil in the coolant. It's a serious problem that you have to have diagnosed before you drive too much. Watery oil could cause you to throw a bearing, and low coolant can cause overheating leading to cracked heads. If it's burning coolant, your exhaust will leave your hands really wet, and it will smell sweet. Look for white smoke under throttle.

Oil burning creates blue smoke...caused by oil bypassing the rings, or other internal problems.

Excess fuel burn causes black smoke, which is from a rich condition...bad O2's, etc.

Does it blowsmoke all the time? Or does it burn it on decceleration? Could be rings or valve stem seals.

It's not that noticable at idle, but is above 2500 rpms. I have to drive it home 100 miles next week and hope i don't fry a ring or crack something. The confusing part is that i haven't noticed any loss in performance or loss of coolant or oil. The oil level is high could that have something to do with it?
