Default car falls on face

installed the gt40 ford racing engine had it tuned and drove it for about an hour without a problem and then went to take someone for a ride and stomped on it and it started lagging then did it again... let it cool down a bit took it out again and was fine at first then started doing the same thing... what could it be?

if it's fine after you let it cool down, its probably the ignition module. could be the coil, or the PIP, but 90% of the time, its the ignition module. $25 part, easy install.

then again you could have fuel delivery problems and it's only co-incedental that it happens that way.

does it only "fall on its face" while you are accelerating straight line hard, and/or around corners hard?

no it is fine when you are driving it normal... it did it the first time after i drove it for about an hour or better and i was on the dyno and was fine... i brough it in the garage checked the cold air intake connections thinking maybe something came off or lose then let it sit for about an hour... started it back up and it was the motor was still warm let it run for a minute then took it for a ride... at first it ran like a bear then about three min into the ride i jumped on it and i could feef it stop pulling a little bit at full throttle and high rpm then jumped on it again and it fell on its face more.. then i did it again and it fell on its face

yup. fuel delivery. did you upgrade the fuel system? i think those motors come with 24lb injectors, so a bigger pump would be necessary.

also, your fuel tank baffle could be broken and not holding gas around the pump. is the tank full?

well your problem sounds like another broken baffle. happened to me, same problems.

why would you go through all that money on a new motor and everything, and skimp out on a used fuel tank. they're only $100 new.
