Default help !!! NO OIl

i have a major problem, there is no oil in the oil filter. why not???

ive been running this thing. maybe thats y i have like a grinding noise near the valve covers

Holy handline! Are you sure your oil pump is not gone? How long has it been doing this? Is the car running hot?

ima go get my cherry picker from my friend, and ill take out the oil pan , and check out the pump.

i talked to my engine builder he said, eighter its bad, or something clogged it up

Grinding noisesunder the valve covers and a dry filter = bad. Did it have oil pressure before? Was the system primed before it was first started up? If no one put oil in the pump when it was built and the pump was dry, it may be that it couldn't get a seal and never pulled any oil. There is oil in the pan, right?

make sure the oil filter isn't clogged or blocked somehow. i've noticed that on some if u got a cheap filter they come covered with like a little plastic flap.

This a new engine? If so did you prime the oil pump till you had oil pressure? I would not turn the engine over until you have it straightened out...
