Default throttle sticking

my pedal sticks when i push down the gas. now this is only like a year old cable because my old one would stick but it's been sitting for a while now so i think that's why it sticks. can i just spray some wd40 in there? or do i have to get a new one?

check the cable routing, it might be binding up somewhere. also check the throttle body butterfly. make sure its not sticking inside.

also check under the dash. you might have some wiring holding the pedal, or even the floormat.

it's not the mat and i got it a little better by spraying it with some brake cleaner. but it's that first initial push that is sticking

oh, its sticking when you first hit it? like you have to give it a good little kick to get it to move?

i checked the mat but that's all fine. yea i have to give it a good amount of pressure to get it going... afte that it's like cutting butter. i tried holding down the throttle cable past its initial part under the hood and spraying that spring and stuff but didn't work

the butterfly is sticking to the throttle body. adjust your idle screw JUST a BIT. enough to make it move, but not raise the idle.
