Default some hesitation

at around 2k rpm all the way throug 2900rpm, it feels like it hesitates a bit. just slight hesitations that occur often but not constantly. i asked the previous owner and he said to clean out the K&N filter to make it stop. could the filter be the problem or is something else the problem? thanks

i had the same problem ...it was my maf ...sometimes it depends on how its laying in the car too.. if you just got it sitting there saging not hooked up to the bracket it will make it mess up to. my car ran like crap at idle and i got under the hood while it was running and i lifted up the maf and my car straighten right out. i went and got some cleaner for it and its ran great ever since. if its already mounted to that braket then its just dirty... the only other thing i can think of that would do that is a vaccum leak? Im not for shure on that but i heard some wild things about vaccum leaks.
