Swirl, I replied to your PM, but I'll post it here for everyone's FYI....
The larger nut w/ the rounded edges goes behind the fork, not in front of it like you have it. Once you have it behind, the smaller nut tightens up behind it to secure it and keep it from moving. You will need to readjust the clutch after you do that, but it will fix the problem your having w/ adjustability.

I am still having one issue. I can start the car but it won't go into gear right away, I have to let the car idle for a bit and keep pushing in the clutch cable. Eventually I can shift like nothing is wrong.
Do I need to tighten it more?
