Should work as long as the stock rods are 6.25" and the GT40s dont have stronger-than-stock valve springs, otherwise you should look into getting some hardened pushrods.

For what it's worth,my current build, the heads are AFR, the rockers are Crane, the cam is Crane and the lifters are Crane, the gasket is Fel-pro 1011-2. The only thing stock is the block and the rockers(the Crane units used on Thunderchickens) and my stock pushrods came up about .020-.030 short of min preload, so I had to order longer ones. Oh well, can't all be perfect, right?

I guess i'm a lil surprised but I guess thats why they always say to check. With teh solid lifter my stock ones checked out dead nuts on the valve.

I honestly dont know how the iron GT40 valve springs compare to the E7s, but my stock pushrods didn't look hardened.

I was actually expecting the stock length to work, so I was a bit suprised too. I guess there's only so much tolerance with aftermarket manufacturing. Still, gave me an excuse to upgrade to some Comp Magnum pushrods
